Umesh Balani is the Founding Director & CEO of Rotomag Group, based in Anand, Gujarat. With over 30 years of expertise in electric drives, transmission systems, and renewable energy, he has transformed a small motor manufacturer into a globally respected engineering brand.
His vision: create world-class motor and solar pump technology right here in India, eliminating dependence on Chinese imports. This China-away strategy is backed by a dedicated R&D team that continuously innovates across PMDC motors, BLDC drives, and solar pumping systems.
Under his leadership, Rotomag became one of the first companies selected by India's MNRE in 1999 to develop the nation's first solar pump - a milestone that set the stage for ROTOSOL.
